Lawrence Wayne Payton. 65, passed away Monday, November 17th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Sue Payton and brother Lane Payton. Wayne is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pam Payton; his son Blake Payton ( Kayla) and daughter Lauren Joyner (Chris). Wayne was a doting PawPaw and is survived by his grandchildren, Brylee Payton, Brinlyn Payton, Cohen Payton, Hollis Joyner and Payte Joyner, his brothers and sister in laws and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and devoted family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 22nd, 2025 at 2 pm at Russell Chapel Baptist Church 188 Camp Brownie Road, Sylacauga, Alabama 35151.
The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 pm for visitation prior to the service. The family requests donations be made to UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center at 700 18th St S Suite EFH500 Birmingham, Alabama 35294-0009
