William Robert "Bill" Reynolds, 91, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 1, 2026. Born on March 14, 1935, and raised in Hanover, AL, Bill was the son of Huel and Bessie Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wayne, and his sister Betsy.
Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years, Raeann Reynolds, his children, Lou Ann Reynolds, Robin McKemie (Joel), Kelley Richardson (Greg), Billy Reynolds (Lorie), and Kim Guy (Leslie); grandchildren, Mallory Canoles (Matt), Kalyn Kamran (Mohammad), Will Reynolds, Kane Richardson (Micah), Anna Rich (Austin), Baily Guy; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Cooper, and Dally Canoles, Sully, Porter, Remi, and Navy Kamran, and Henry and Grady Richardson; his sister Jane Reynolds, Steve Yarnell; and his beloved dog, Chase.
Bill was a graduate of Rockford High School and furthered his education at Central Alabama Community College. He served as a tank mechanic in the Army for 2 years. After his military service, Bill worked at Kimberly Clark for 12 years before following his passion as a self-employed auto mechanic, a career he pursued well into his eighties.
Bill found joy in woodworking, car racing, boxing, and fishing with his grandchildren. He could fix anything. He had a quick wit and loved to make people laugh. He always made everyone feel welcome and loved. Bill was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed.
