

Mr. William Thomas “Billy” Chandler of Sylacauga, AL passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence. He was 84. A native of Clay County, AL, Mr. Chandler served as an Army medic during World War II in the European Theatre. He was retired from the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, where he served as foreman of the wood yard. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Machen Chandler of Sylacauga, AL; sons, Randy Chandler (Debbie) of Greenville, SC and Gary Chandler (Karen) of Millerville, AL; daughter, Tam Morris (Danny) of Millerville, AL; brother, Fred Chandler (Betty Sue) of Talladega, AL; sister, Sue Yates (Charles) of Talladega, AL; grandchildren, Adam Chandler (Paula) of Greenville, SC; Laura Chandler of Nashville, TN; Emily Morris Hines (Chris) of Smyrna, TN; Jacob Morris (Dorothee) of Nashville, TN; Amy Chandler of Charlotte, NC; Aaron Morris of Nashville, TN; Harrison Chandler of Greenville, SC; and Andrew Morris of Millerville, AL; and great granddaughter, Gabrielle “Gabby” Chandler of Greenville, SC. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel . Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Kemp officiating.
