

Sylacauga – Services for Wilma Waldrop, age 90, will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with Rev. Tim Childers and Chaplin Marvin Vickers officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She passed away on February 8, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Sam Waldrop, also by 6 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra McInnes (Joe) of Lake Martin and Jackie Perez of Aliceville, two grandchildren Melissa Baldone (Chris) of Madison and Jody McInnes (Mahaley) of Montgomery, 3 great grandchildren, Matthew and Maggie Baldone of Madison and Duncan McInnes of Montgomery.
Mrs. Waldrop was born in Dozier, Al. in 1920 and attended public schools and was a graduate of Troy University and Auburn University. She was a devoted elementary school teacher for 35 years in Wetumpka, Lincoln and Sylacauga. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylacauga and Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a loving wife, mother and Memaw and cherished her students from her many years of teaching. A special thanks to Mrs. Jossie Ware for her years of faithful service and support.
Visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2011 from 1-2 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel.
