You will never observe a better example of a life laid down, than the life of Barbara Boyd Zeagler. Her gifts fell into the same realm as her heart, a servant’s heart through and through. She served her husband and her family with a gusto we’d all be hard pressed to duplicate. She served with her actions, with her words and with a heart filled with joy. She clung to the words that filled her favorite book. Her devotion to her Bible, and studying it daily, was her greatest encourager and an inspiration to those around her.

Barbara, a gifted seamstress, artist, and lover of flowers, blessed so many. Countless hours of her life were spent using her God given abilities to create timeless treasures. More than just flowers sprouted from her green thumb. She knew how to bring about the green, the life, in all of us. She gave us a foundation of love that fertilized our soil. Our lives were grown and transformed by her pouring life giving words over our circumstances. She shined the light of Jesus on us, allowing us to grow under her stewardship. Her hands may have ached after hours at the sewing machine, but her heart soared. She loved creating and blessing people with her talents, although she would have modestly discounted her abilities. She leaves a legacy we are all proud to inherit.

I have had the honor of knowing Miss Barbara for almost half of my life. She has always greeted me and my daughter with a smile and a hug! She was a great cook with stories to match. When my daughter Makinzie was born 13 years ago , she hand made a quilt that folded into a pillow. On it in beautiful hand stitching she sewed" Girls are sugar and spice and everything nice"! It is a prized possession of ours that is proudly displayed on my daughter's bed. We have been praying for her and the family since she fell I'll. She is no longer in pain and is where we all strive to end up, at the feet of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will continue to pray for peace and comfort for Roxanne, Andrea, Ashley and her grieving husband and family ,so that you may all find peace in her passing and as she lived. We share in your saddness and sorrow. We celebrate the time we were lucky to have spent with her! God bless you all!
