Carmen Yvonne Lee Sheffield

Sylvania – Carmen Yvonne Lee Sheffield, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro. She was born in Screven County to the late Exley Lee and Ruth Scott Lee Wilson and was a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church. At the age of 52, she became a LPN and later retired from Bulloch Memorial & East Georgia Regional Hospital. She also worked at Screven Co. Hospital. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband: James Edward Sheffield; Daughter: Charlene Newsome.

Survivors: Son: Larry Sheffield of Martinez, GA; Daughter: Kim S. Stewart of Savannah, GA; Sisters: Marilyn L. Hann of Sylvania and Linda L. Conrad of Ocala, FL; Grandchildren: Michael Sheffield, Sara Catherine Sheffield, Robbie Gill, Heather Newsome and Michael Stewart; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Memorial Service: Saturday, March 19, 2016, at11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial in Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
