

Perkins – Clarence Judson “C.J.” Waters, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Optim Medical Center-Jenkins in Millen. He was born in Screven County to the late Harry & Jennie Eugenia Cates Waters, was retired from Southern Bell and was a member of Dry Branch Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army as well as a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a former Jaycee. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Juel Brinson Waters.
Survivors: Daughters and Son-In-Law: Susan W. Godbee of Millen and Dawn & Chris Patterson of Perkins; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: David Waters of Millen and Clarence J. “Jim” & Janie Waters of Perkins. Sisters and Brother-In-Law: Betty Jean W. & Walton Hall of Savannah, GA; Grandchildren: Wesley & Shana Godbee, Ashley Godbee, Kimberly Bennett, Summer & Gary Melton, C.J. & Ashley Waters, Anna Kate Waters, Katie Patterson, Jacob Patterson, Craig & Susan Godbee and Hayley Greene; 11 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dry Branch Baptist Church in Perkins,GA.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Dry Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Boynton and Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial at Dry Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Thomas Wallace, Kenny Wallace, Chris Patterson, Mark Mays, Glen Mays, Dennis Small and Greg Hall. Honorary Pallbearers: Bell Telephone Pioneers.
