

Rocky Ford – Cynthia “Cindy” Howard Brown, age 63, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Statesboro, GA to the late Clarence Hubert & Thelma Avis Collins Howard and was the owner and operator of Howell’s Nursery in Rocky Ford for 38 years. She was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church, was a great mother and nanny to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Gerald Marlow Brown and her Son: Jeremy Brown; Brothers: Paul Alexander and Charles Alexander.
Survivors: Daughter and Son-In-Law: Amanda Leigh B. & Chris Tanner of Augusta, GA; Sons & Daughter-In-Law: Ethan Brown of Rocky Ford and Jimmie & Shea Cason of Sylvania; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Betty H. & Lou Dean Hinley of Guyton, GA, Dot & Mike Howell of Appling, GA and Patsy A. Hall of AZ; Sister-In-Law: Ann Alexander of Aiken, SC; Brothers & Sister-In-Law: Bobby & Sandra Alexander and Louis Alexander and Betty Barnhardt, all of Lilburn, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Cady Tanner, Shelby Tanner and Maddie Tanner, all of Augusta, GA, Lane Cason and Riley Cason, both of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Sunday, January 12, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Bright Light Baptist Church with Rev. Newman Samples officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial following at Wades Cemetery.
