Doris Elva Taylor Herrington

Millen, GA formerly of Sylvania– Doris Elva Taylor Herrington, age 92, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in Millen, after an extended illness. She was born to Alta Helen Rebb & Robert Harrison Taylor on October 11, 1922. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and special friend to many. She worked many years with her parents business, Taylor’s Dining Room at Hirshman Lake. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and affiliated with Bethel Brick & Millen United Methodist Churches. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Homer William Clifton, Jr., her grandson, Isaac Peter Mills, III, step-grandson, Colby Herrington and her husband, Lloyd Eldon Herrington.

Surviving are her Children: Robert Harrison Clifton (Jenny), Elva Ruth Clifton Mills (Pete), Helen DeEtte Clifton Smith (Billy); Step-Children: Lloyd W. Herrington (Anna), Lora H. Collins (Johnny); Grandchildren: Robbie Clifton, DeEtte Smith Aull (Robby), Billy Smith Jr., Tarry Mills Hodges (Ashely), Julia Mills Cates (Paul); Step-Grandchildren: Angie Emery (David), Amy Chistenson (Stu), Bryson Herrington, Jessica C. Hutchenson (Matt), Tyler Collins and John Paul Cates; Six Great-Grandchildren and One Great Step-Grandchild.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Christy Bandy, Rev. Ralph Dixon, Rev. Kitty Newton and Rev. Patricia McDonald officiating. Burial following in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Billy Smith Jr., Robbie Aull, Ashley Hodges, Bryson Herrington, Tyler Collins, Matt Hutcheson, John Paul Cates and Paul Cates.
