Sylvania – James Huel “Jim” Joyner, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Screven County, was a retired crop duster, air plane mechanic and instructor and was of Baptist faith. He was also U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Federal Aviation Admistration. He was preceded in death by his Son: James H. Joyner, Jr.; Parents: George Huel Joyner and Lessie Ola Cleland Joyner King; Brother: Gene H. Joyner.
Survivors: Wife: Hilda Diane Thompson Joyner of Sylvania; Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Sandra & Neil Berry of Graniteville, SC, Jeannie Joyner & Ronnie North of Waynesboro, GA and Tasha & Roger Evans of Sylvania; Son: Mikel Neidlinger of Sylvania; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Friday, June 28, 2013 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
