
Sylvania – James Madison NeSmith, Sr., age 75, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Bulloch County, GA, retired from Savannah Iron and Fence Corporation as a steel Mechanic and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Adult Sunday School at McDonald Baptist Church, Iron workers Local #109, and was an avid gardener.
Survivors: Wife: Carolyn Bragg NeSmith, Sylvania; Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Penny E. and Douglas King of Schroon Lake, New York; Terry and Steve Krupski of Middlegrove, New York; Son: James M. and Sharon NeSmith Jr. of Vidalia, Ga.; Step-daughters and Son-in-law: Judy and Joe Jones, of Sylvania and Jean Potter, of Sylvania, Sisters: Polly N. Ursy of Pineora, Ga., Mary Lee Howard, of Bloomingdale, Ga., Jeanette N. Aldredge, of S.C. Christine N. Lively, of Johnsons Corner, Ga; Brothers: Clyde NeSmith, Petersburg, Va. And Charles NeSmith. Ellabell, Ga. 10 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service: Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn White officiating. Burial will take place in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Pembroke, Ga.
