

Sylvania – Johnny Etheridge Whitehead, Sr., age 60, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, GA. He was born in Sylvania, GA to Lunette M. Whitehead and the late Johnny E. “Buddy” Whitehead. He was self-employed as a carpenter and painter and was a member of Greenhill Baptist Church. He was also enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming and loved his family.
Survivors: Daughter and Son-In-Law: Stephanie W. Beasley of Sylvania; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Johnny E. “Bucky” Whitehead, Jr. and Devin & Candace Whitehead, all of Sylvania; Mother: Lunette Meyers Whitehead of Sylvania; Brother: Larry Sellers Whitehead of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Marshall Wyatt Beasley, Madyson Wynter Beasley, Raleigh Etheridge Whitehead, Jilliana Whitehead, Johnny Moss Whitehead, Jase Moses Griner and Scarlett-Rose Shelby Whitehead, all of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Whitehead will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013, at 4:30 P.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Joey Holloway and Rev. Dr. Karen Zeigler will be officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
