Margaret T Terry Smith-Houle

Statesboro –Mrs. Margaret Terry Smith-Houle, age 91, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Smith-Houle was a member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church. She was born April 24, 1926 in Wadesboro, NC, the daughter of the late Elisha Clay Terry and Irene Gibson Terry. She was preceded in death by her son, Russ Beachum; her husbands, Clayton Houle, Joseph C. Smith and Davis Beachum; her brothers, Elisha Clay Terry, Jr., James Terry, Fred Terry, Francis Terry and a sister, Lena Russell.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Shelley Beachum Joyce (Keith) and Clay Beachum (Niki), both of Statesboro, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Peggy Turner Beachum of Statesboro and two sisters-in-laws, Mrs. Rosa Terry of Wadesboro, NC and Mrs. Johnsie Terry of Norman, NC.

Mrs. Smith-Houle’s life will be honored with a graveside memorial ceremony on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Newington City Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
