

Sylvania - Marguerite Waters Bragg, age 73, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Screven County native was born, March 4, 1939, to the late Lockwood and Ellen Zeigler Waters and was the widow of the late James Norman Bragg, Jr. She was a member of McDonald Baptist Church, worked for THE SYLVANIA TELEPHONE, Radio Station WSYL, Sylvania, and Brown's Office Equipment. She owned and operated Bragg's Town House Restaurant for many years, and at the time of her death, she owned and operated Bragg Catering in Sylvania.
Survivors: Son and Daughter-in-Law: James “Jim” N., III & Deanna L. Bragg of Sylvania; Sister and Brother-in-Law: Patricia W. & Jerry Corbett of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-in-Law: Freddie & Vera Waters of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Delaney & Daniel Lee of Sylvania; Great-Granddaughters: Hadley Lee and Zoey Lee, both of Sylvania; Aunts: Muriel W. Flythe and Ruth W. Brinson, both of Sylvania, and Juanita W. Norstorm of Chesapeake, VA; A Number of Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Monday, February 04, 2013 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 2:00 PM at McDonald Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Gatlin officiating. Burial following in the church cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers: Lavaughn Waters, Thomas Hughes, Tracy McBride, Ed Bragg, Tyler McKinney, and Ryan McKinney. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Adult Sunday School Class of McDonald Baptist Church and Jacob Abraham, John C. Young, and Annie Gail Smith.
