Sylvania – Marvin Jefferson Davis, Jr., age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Bulloch County, GA to the late Marvin Jefferson, Sr. and Zoy Clyde Smith Davis. He worked as a mechanic and was of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Carolyn Marie Niceler Davis; brothers: Hollis Davis and Charles Levon Davis.

Survivors: Step-Daughter: Rebecca Ann Scott of Douglas, GA; Step-Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Tony Levi & Sandy Jewell of Nashville, GA, Michael Wayne Jewell of Willacoochee, GA and Charles Edward & Mary Ladson of Douglas, GA; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Linda & Rick Newton of Sylvania; Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Aubrey & Barbara Davis of Sylvania and Gene Lamar & Josephine Davis of Statesboro; Special Friends: Loretta Johnson and Family; Several Grandchildren; Several Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Graveside Services: Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. at Newington City Cemetery with Rev. Elmer Golden officiating. Burial following.
