Mrs. Mary Hasty Brunson

Mary Eunice Hasty Brunson, 94, died May 3, 2011. She was born in Georgetown, Georgia,

January 28, 1917. She graduated from Georgia Stqte College for Women in Milledgeville and spent

her entire teaching career in Screven County. She was a long-time member and Sunday School

teacher, clerk and teasurer at Jackson Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers and Hunters Homemakers Club.

She is preceded in death by her Husband of 60 years: Charles William Brunson; Parents: Augustus Alexander and Salle Mae Graddy Hasty of Georgetown, GA; Sisters: Edna Groover and Freda Smith; Brother: William Hasty.

Survivors include, Two Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Shelton and Nancy Brunson of Summerville, SC and

John H. and Betsy Brunson of Sylvania; A Sister: Carolyn Cope of Eufaula, AL: 5 Grandchildren: Grant Brunson,

John and Karen Brunson, Wendy and Will Boyd, Holly and J. T. Pollock and Clark Brunson; 9 Great-Grandchildren

and many Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brunson will be held at Jackson Baptist Church on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 2:00 P.M.

with the Rev. Ralph Dixon, Jr., Rev. Pete Wall, and Rev. Douglas Reddick officiating. The body will lie in state from

1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Grant Brunson, John Brunson, Clark Brunson, J.T. Pollock, Will Boyd, Mike Groover, Hal Shuman and Charlie Stafford. Honorary Pallbearers: The Jackson Baptist Adult Sunday School Class.
