

Myrtle Evelyn Kemp, 64, of Sylvania, died Monday afternoon, January 25, 2016, at the home of her son under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and her loving family.
She was born September 23, 1951, in Screven County, Georgia to the late Weyman David Kemp and Aren Ottis Williams Kemp. She was of the Methodist faith and a machine operator at the Timken Bearings plant in Sylvania.
Also preceding her in death were her Grandparents: Carl E. and Myrtle Kemp.
Surviving are: Her Son and Daughter-in-Law: William Larry (Bo), Jr. and Rebecca Allen Smith of Hiltonia, Her Brothers and Sister-in-Law: David Aren Kemp, Ottis E. Kemp and Herman L. Kemp all of Sylvania, and Carl Lewis and Barbara Kemp of Martinez, Georgia, Her Grandchildren: Brandon Allen and Chloe Smith and Montana Blaze Smith all of Hiltonia. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Ms. Kemp will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Karen R. Zeigler officiating. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Matthew Haley, Tony Kemp, Louis Perryman, Wendell Poole, Sr., B. J. Sasser, and Wally Sasser, Jr.
