Raymond Elias Zeigler Sr.

Sylvania –Raymond Elias Zeigler, Sr., age 80, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Screven County, was office manager and employee for Sheppard Bros. Gas Co. for 57 years and was a member of Goloid United Methodist Church. He was also a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Robert Embree and Elizabeth Mock Zeigler; Children: Fay Z. Key, Ray Zeigler and Roger Zeigler; Brothers: Jerry Zeigler, Edward Zeigler and Harold Zeigler.

Survivors: Wife: Peggy Herrington Zeigler of Sylvania; 5 Grandchildren: Stephanie Zeigler Coulter of Statesboro, Edward Sheley of Sylvania, Jason Key of Statesboro, Will Zeigler and Seth Zeigler, both of Jesup; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Memorial Services: Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Dr. Karen R. Zeigler and Rev. Kitty Newton officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
