Ronald Herman "Ronnie" McCorkle

Savannah, GA (formerly of Sylvania) – Ronald Herman “Ronnie” McCorkle, age 67, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. He was born December 24, 1948, in Jenkins County, GA, to the late Joseph Marion McCorkle and Alberta Milton Wiley. He was a truck driver for many years and he retired from CSE Transportation Co. He was of Christian faith and was a fun loving spirit who loved Dale Earnhardt. His family meant everything to him, as well as telling old stories from his childhood. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Survivors: Ex-Wife and close friend: Holly Hart of Savannah, GA; Daughters and Son-In-Law: Elizabeth & Alexander Gay of Savannah, GA and Ashley Perea of Aiken, SC; Step-Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Duste' & Louis Villermin of Columbus, GA and Ashley & Kevin Goss of Savannah, GA; Sister: Betty Ann Krlin of Daytona Beach, FL; Brother: Eddie McCorkle of Sylvania, GA; Grandchildren: Lily Gay, Delilah Gay, Zoe' Villermin, Sophy Villermin, Remy Villermin, Emma Goss, Ava Goss and Landon Goss; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial following at Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Kevin Goss, Alexander Gay, Daryl McCorkle and Brandon McCorkle.
