Janet Burnsed Waters, 55, of Sylvania, died early Saturday morning in the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro following a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Chatham County, Georgia, was a member of the Powers Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Janet was proceeded in death by her parents, Donald Warren and Hazel Mae Howell Burnsed.
Survivors include, Her husband of 16 years, Harold Andrew (Andy) Waters of Sylvania, A Daughter, Kelly Thomas Gleaton of Springfield, GA, A Son and Daughter-in-Law, Shane and Sandra Thomas of San Luis Obispo, CA, Brothers and Sisters-in-Law, Aaron and Susan Burnsed of Newnan, GA and DeWayne and Katherine Burnsed of Eden, GA, Grandchildren, Destiney L. Tilley, Patrick J. Gleaton, Michelle Gleaton, and Hunter Tilley all of Springfield, GA, A Number of Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Waters will be held Monday, December 19, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Timothy Waters, Michael Waters, Elliott Burnsed, Robert Steffey, Leslie Pevey, and Mitchell Jordan.
The family will be at the residence.
