For the past 11 years our dad Andy Lord has fought cancer with more courage and strength than we ever could have imagined. No matter what challenges he faced, he remained the most positive person we've ever met. He fought with a quiet stoicism, always more concerned about the people around him than himself. On October 5, he won his fight against cancer, passing away from complications from heart disease.
Andy was an incredible fisherman, a better father and brother, and a friend to many. His kindness, generosity, and humor brightened the lives of all who knew him. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday 10/10 3PM to 7PM at Syosset FD Headquarters, 50 Cold Spring Rd, Syosset. All are welcome. Please park in the adjoining LIRR parking lot and enter through the rear door.
