She was the beloved wife of the late John Krogman, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, and the devoted mother of Kenneth and his wife Marirose, Steven and his wife Joanne, and Jeffrey and his wife Francy. One of the greatest joys of her life was being a proud and loving grandmother to Ethan, Angela, Rachel, and Daniel. She cherished every moment with them, attending school events, sharing stories, and helping to raise them with love, laughter, and wisdom.
After retiring, Barbara and John traveled together, creating wonderful memories in their later years. When their journeys came to a close, her focus shifted to her grandchildren, who became the center of her world. Later, after moving to Florida, she embraced an active lifestyle, rarely missing a game of cards or mah jongg. Known for her energy and independence, she was often out and about five days a week, enjoying time with friends and staying connected to her community.
Despite facing numerous health challenges in her last year, Barbara remained remarkably resilient and never complained. Even in her final days, as her strength faded, her quiet courage and dignity remained unwavering.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
A wake will be held on Sunday, July 13, at Beney Funeral Home in Syosset, New York.
