On this sad day we all lost and amazing friend and a hell of a man. Chris was always a stand up guy and showed his love for people by dedicating his life to making others felt  safe.  I was privileged to know him and his family. I know one thing for sure, Chris has a tee time around noon today and will smile down on us  forever. Rest in peace Chris

Chris and I worked several years together in 701 and 710. I have great memories of working with him and plenty of good times. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand. He loved being a cop and it always showed. To soon a goodbye to a great guy. Till we meet again partner.

We had so many good times together when the kids were little.  I will always cherish those memories.

Chris was in my NYPD academy class where he was loved by all.  Just one of those guys that everyone immediately liked.  It was amazing that many years later I reunited with him, seeing him at the 1st pct with NCPD Sgt's stripes.   I didn't know he was sick until tonight.....sad day.

Chris always with a smile on his face!  The best of the best!

The world has lost quite a man.  He was one of the most caring, kind,  and thoughtful men I have  ever met. He welcomed me at my job and made everyday there a great place to work along with plenty of laughter. It will never be the same but my memories will live on forever of him. May God Bless your wife and sons and may you Rest in Peace.  Thank you for being my friend Lieutenant!!

My heartfelt condolences to the Cizmarik family! I worked with Chris when he started as  a rookie in the 7th Pct. I will always remember him for his sense of humor and always being a fun loving guy! May he rest in peace!

Great boss and better friend, loved his golf and cigars. He will be truly missed but not forgotten!

We were great friends and also he was a great man to his whole family, dog  and me. Definitely a super dad! Very brave never told me about his illness.
We talked about playing the next round of golf, shooting  range, cigars. And life in general.

I worked with Chris many times as cops in PSA5, in NYC’s Spanish Harlem housing projects. I was a rookie and he was ‘the senior man’ even though we were the same age. He LOVED his job. And he was good at it. Very inspiring to this rookie. Rest in peace Chris. And thanks.
