Estelle M. Carnesi

Born on December 28, 1931, in Mineola, NY, Estelle was the beloved daughter of Bronislaw Sonoski and Olga Alexandra Jurow. She worked as a dedicated payroll clerk for the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) and was known for her strong work ethic and loyalty. Estelle was the devoted wife of the late Peter Carnesi and a loving mother to Steven Carnesi (Michele) and Patricia Stauder (Michael). She was a cherished grandmother to Danielle Stauder, Daniel Carnesi, John Carnesi, and Nicholas Stauder. A passionate member of her community, Estelle loved cooking, supporting her local fire department, attending church, and spending time with friends playing cards and bingo. She served in many leadership roles, including past president, secretary, and treasurer of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Syosset Fire Department; member and Regent of St. Edward Catholic Daughters; and treasurer of Woodbury Meadows.

Visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, located at 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on June 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Edward Confessor RC Church, 205 Jackson Ave, Syosset, New York 11791, on July 1, 2025, from 9:45 am to 10:30 am.

Interment will follow at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, New York 11590, on July 1, 2025.
