December 7, 1923 – July 14, 2025
Frank Polito, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 101. A proud World War II U.S. Army Veteran, Frank lived a life marked by courage, integrity, humor, and unwavering love for his family and country.
Born in 1923 in Brooklyn, New York, Frank grew up in a time that called for strength and sacrifice; he answered that call with honor. Serving bravely during the Second World War as the Technical Sergeant Master Small Craft Tug 118, he carried the spirit of service and resilience throughout his entire life. He was a man who led with humility, whose quiet strength made a lasting impact on all who knew him. Frank was decorated with the following medals of honor: American Campaign Medal, Asia Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife, lifelong partner, and Bijou, Ada. Her love and companionship stood as a testament to their enduring bond. He leaves behind his beloved sons, Dean (Luanne) and Raymond (Gina); his cherished grandchildren, Dominic (Nabiha), Sylvanna, and Anthony, who will carry his legacy with pride and gratitude.
He is also survived by his loving brother Ed (Audrey), and a wide and wonderful extended family of nieces and nephews who brought him great joy. Frank’s warmth, wisdom, and sharp wit touched the lives of his family and friends.
Frank was a man of his word—humble, honorable, deeply kind, and comical. Whether sharing stories from a bygone era, offering guidance with gentle wisdom, or gifting a joke and a smile when it mattered most. Frank made a profound and lasting impact in the lives he touched. He was loved by all who knew him.
His presence will be dearly missed, but the love he gave and the values he lived by will continue to shine through those who had the privilege to know him.
May God bless Frank Polito and grant him eternal peace.
Thank you for your service.
