Gerard A Hartmann

A long-time resident of Syosset, Long Island Jerry died on Sunday, April 16th. He was born on November 6th, 1929, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Hartmann and lived a full 93 years of love and life.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mary Hartmann and their 4 children: Daughter, Bonnie Sittig and her late husband Donnie. Son, Wayne Hartmann and his wife Lisa. Daughter, Diane LeStrange and her late husband Larry. Son, Randy Hartmann and his girlfriend Sally. He also leaves his grand daughter, Jennifer Fletcher and her husband Brian. Jackson and Nathan Fletcher are his great grandsons, his pride and joy. He fondly called them ‘The Nutchkies’ and he was their ‘Duddie’.

His love for his family was immeasurable – his happiest days were when he was surrounded by his loved ones and sharing stories of all the great experiences he had. He was a proud Church member and true believer in God.

A visitation for Gerard will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, New York 11791. An interment will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, New York 11590.
