James grew up on the former Woodbury Farms, graduated from Syosset High School, served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969, and worked for 25 years for the US Postal Service in Syosset, NY.
James was pre-deceased by his parents, Alfred and Anne (Krywak), his brother, Alfred, and nephew, Lawrence. He is survived by his sister, Joyce (and Larry Michels), brother, Donald (and Jane), sister-in-law, April, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, US, on October 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The family will be leaving Beney Funeral Home at 11:00 AM for the interment at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, US, on October 9, 2026, from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm
The family requests memorial donations to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Shriners Hospitals for Children or Gift of Life Transplant House, Rochester, MN.
