Janet Rose Tesoriero, born on April 11, 1965, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 60. Residing in New York City, Janet was known for being devoted to her family and was cherished by all who knew her.
Janet held the esteemed position of Vice President International Finance at Goldman Sachs, a role that allowed her to travel and live in Tokyo, London and Germany. Beyond her professional achievements, she dedicated herself to raising the children of her sisters, Carol-Ann, Laura and Heather, who were taken from us at much too early an age.
Janet loved to read, travel, and trace her family’s history. She took great joy in sharing her deep knowledge of that heritage in many ways, especially through traditional Italian recipes that made the family and friends she welcomed into her home feel connected to those roots.
She was a woman with courage, imagination and resilience. She navigated a 20+ year battle with cancer with patience and grace, inspiring the family around her and offering them that same strength in their moments of need. She was honest, loving, and gave generously of herself to all who were lucky enough to get to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francesco Tesoriero; her mother, Grace Mary Russo; and her sisters, Carol-Ann, Laura, and Heather. Janet is survived by her brother, Frank Tesoriero (Robin); her nephews, Stefan Tesoriero (Nidia), Joshua Tesoriero (Juenan Wu), Lucas Tesoriero (Sara Saenz), Zachary Tesoriero, Samuel James Mannetti (Caroline McQuade), Yashar Montoya, Joseph Mannetti (Brittany), and Max Mannetti; as well as her nieces, Trinity Montoya, Rose Tesoriero-Montoya, Amelia Mannetti, Ava Forcino, and Grace Forcino.
