Carissimi Macrina, Frances e Vito,  
ci stringiamo a voi in questo momento così difficile e condividiamo con il cuore il vostro dolore per la perdita della cara zia Jennie.  
Noi non abbiamo avuto la fortuna di conoscerla di persona, ma attraverso i racconti di mia mamma e di mia sorella ci è arrivata viva, nitida. Ci hanno parlato di una donna solare, piena di energia, con quella luce negli occhi e quell’amore grande per la vita che si sentiva anche a distanza.  
E in fondo, è proprio così che l’abbiamo conosciuta: attraverso il calore con cui ne parlavano e l’affetto che portava con sé.  
Peccato non aver avuto la possibilità di incontrarla, di stringerle la mano e di ricevere un suo abbraccio. Ma sentiamo che una parte di lei vive nei vostri ricordi e nel modo meraviglioso in cui ne parlate. 
Vi siamo vicini con tutto il nostro affetto.

I’m so so sorry of hearing the passing of my good friend Jennie. My heart goes out to all of you.  I know she was well-loved and she's at peace.  I will never forget her or the few precious hours I got to be with her.  Such a treasure.

It has been a pleasure to call Jennie my friend. Meeting her in 1980 through Macrina, we started off with spending lunch hours together— enjoying lively conversation and lots of laughter. 

Being invited often to Bayville, Jennie graciously opened her home to me, and I met Polo, one of her adored fur babies. 

That’s when the party started, with great times that included perfectly planned food, costumes, and decorations. Always festive with delicious food, dancing and everyone having fun.

I hold so many memories dear to me that also included AC, NYC, Montauk and more. Jennie engaged with everyone and loved everyone.
She enjoyed life to the fullest and wanted everyone to join her in that enjoyment. 

Jennie was also unique in her generosity. If you liked something of hers, she would gift you a new version  and I treasure those gifts. 

Jennie is someone to celebrate and remember always, and will be sorely missed.

Today, we celebrate the life of our mom, Jennie—a woman whose love and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Mom made life feel like a celebration. Always ready for a good party, she loved dressing up in costume and knew how to make any gathering special. She loved entertaining family and friends, and her home was always filled with laughter, good food, and memories we will cherish forever.

Some of our favorite moments with Mom were in the kitchen. She loved helping cook—chopping vegetables, breading cutlets, and making Bundt cakes for every occasion. More than that, she taught us how to live, show love through the meals we shared and reminded us to laugh, to celebrate, and to hold onto every chance to make memories.

Mom had a deep love for animals, and her kindness extended to every creature. Her eight cats and two dogs, Polo and Bogie, were cherished parts of her life. She also found peace in nature and loved traveling with her children, always embracing new places and experiences with curiosity and gratitude. Mom introduced us to boating with many lasting memories.

One of the greatest blessings of our lives was spending the last three and a half years living with her. We shared everyday moments, fix-it projects, creative projects, refurbished dolls from her childhood, home spa days, and quiet afternoons at the table while she crafted poems.

Mom, thank you for your unconditional love, your generous heart, and your beautiful example. We will miss your laugh, your hugs, your sense of fun, and your presence every day. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing your love lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to know you. Every family meal, every celebration, every walk in nature, every new adventure, and every silly costume that makes us smile will remind us of you.

We love you, Mom. Thank you for being our mother, our teacher, and our friend. You will always be with us, and we will carry you in our hearts forever.

Jennie DiGregorio was so much more than my boyfriend's mother—she was like a second mother to me, a dear friend, and someone I was blessed to know for more than 30 years.
From the moment I met her, she welcomed me with kindness, warmth, and a smile that could brighten any room. She had a way of making everyone feel at home, and I was fortunate to be one of the many people whose life she touched. We shared countless conversations, laughter, and special memories that I will always treasure.
Jennie was a woman of strength, compassion, and generosity. She loved her family deeply, and that love extended to everyone lucky enough to know her. She offered encouragement when it was needed, friendship without conditions, and a caring heart that never asked for anything in return.
To me, she was family. I will forever be grateful for the love, guidance, and friendship she gave me over the years. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging that I will carry with me always.
Though my heart is heavy, I find comfort in knowing how many lives Jennie touched with her kindness and love. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Jennie. Thank you for being such an important part of my life. I will miss you more than words can express.

Jennie was my unofficial Italian mom.  I spent a lot of time around her dinner table at Bayville observing, listening, learning, and eating way too much as she insisted I try everything!  Jennie was warm, generous and funny, contributing to the many conversations happening at once, never afraid to voice her opinion or challenge yours.  
She loved her family fiercely - they, and I, will miss her just as fiercely.

I am so terribly sorry for the loss of my Aunt Jennie. She was a part of my life for nearly 50 years, and I will always remember her with great fondness. I am so so sorry about my dear friend Jennie.  She was a beautiful person and a loving friend. Growing up with your whole family were the best days of my childhood. Jennie was a wonderful lady she was my 2nd mom growing up and the adventures we had with her on the boats and the city lunches and so many other times were amazing her trip to Italy with my mom incredible. Although we are far and many years have passed i think of you, macrina and fran often through my life as well as tony and yvon, because my time with all of you I always treasure and seemed like yesterday I will never forget them so great. You are all and always will be family, I feel like my mom died today and she will be missed so much.  God bless Jennie she will always be close to my heart as all of you will be.

I am so sad and sorry to hear about the passing of your dear Mother! Although she lived a long and vigorous life, as did my Mom, their passing leaves such an unfillable void!
Always know in your hearts and souls what wonderful children and caretakers you and Fran especially were!
Your Mother knew that and appreciated it so very much.
