Joan Serchak died on May 19, 2025 at the age of 92. She enjoyed a long family-centered life while enjoying a career in magazine publishing and at the Syosset Public Library. She was a loving, caring, and devoted wife to George Serchak, mother to Laura Purello and Karin Kane and grandmother to Anna and Shannon Kane.
A memorial service for Joan will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791. An inurnment of ashes will occur Friday, May 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
