

John was the beloved husband of Anna Vodicka for 60 years, a union filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Together, they forged a life built on love and mutual respect, setting an example of enduring devotion for all who knew them.
As a father, John was a pillar of strength and guidance to his children, John Michael Vodicka (Maureen) and Elizabeth Moloney (Brian). He imparted wisdom, instilled values, and showered them with unconditional love, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today.
John's greatest joy came from his role as a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, Claire (Amanda), Shane, Kerri, Luke, Patrick, and Cayla, and reveled in the precious moments spent together. His legacy lives on through the memories they shared and the values he imparted.
Professionally, John was a proud member of Local #3 IBEW for over 60 years, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and skill. His commitment to his craft and his fellow union members was unparalleled, earning him the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional achievements, John will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious smile, and genuine kindness. He had a remarkable ability to uplift others and bring joy to every room he entered. His generosity knew no bounds, and his impact on the lives of those around him was immeasurable.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 9:45am at St. Edward the Confessor RC Church, 205 Jackson Avenue, Syosset NY 11791, followed by interment at Locust Valley Cemetery, 117 Ryefield Road, Locust Valley, NY 11560.
