Uncle Joe,
I’ll always remember the family gatherings (reunions really) at your home in the summers. Volleyball in the backyard, ping pong in the basement, Beethoven on the piano, and enough food to feed an army. As a kid I would play so hard Mom and Dad would have to carry me fast asleep to the car. I will forever remember the Grieco’s. Their love for family runs through me. You are loved and will be missed. Thanks for being like a brother to my Dad.
Love, Johnny, Heather, Samantha, Joseph, & Nicholas

Here is a notification I sent to our retired Equitable representative, Bill Whalen, who has taken it upon himself to notify our select retirees of losses such as Joe's passing, as well as other events that might be of interest to us. Here is an extract of that notification that I sent to Bill:
I am very saddened to inform you and our Equitable family of friends that one of my best friends for decades, Joe Grieco, passed away this morning (Oct. 12) in his sleep. We connected very well from the day we met in 1960 on the raised floor of our computer installation and I was very privileged and honored to have been an usher at his wedding in 1966. Joe and Patricia enjoyed a wonderful marriage as they lived their lives to the fullest. Their children are the direct beneficiaries of that exemplary marriage. For those unaware, Joe was a technical giant back in the 60s in the Data Processing Department, and I vividly remember many discussions we’ve had as we explored breakthrough technology. Our social calendars overlapped considerably, and life was good all around. I shall miss him terribly. Joe was a great friend!
