

Born in Glen Cove, New York, and raised in Glen Head, Kay was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Josephine Koloski. She was the devoted wife of Edward A. Duchnowski of Roslyn, New York, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they raised their family in Syosset, New York.
Kay is survived by her loving children, Mark Duchnowski, David Duchnowski, Lauren Larsen, and Gary Duchnowski and her daughter in-laws Deborah and Laura Duchnowski. She was a cherished grandmother to Matthew and Adam Duchnowski, Edward Duchnowski, Emme Larsen, and Joseph Duchnowski, and a beloved great-grandmother to Madelyn, Kayla, Brynn Duchnowski and Alyssa and Brianna Duchnowski.
Kay was a talented and creative artist who lived a vibrant, full life. She had a deep love for her family and embraced every experience with curiosity and joy. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her warmth made everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open to friends and family, a place filled with laughter, connection, and celebration.
She moved through life with grace, reflecting the class, joy, love, and beauty she carried within her. Kay possessed a rare and unforgettable magic that touched all who knew her.
Though this loss is profound and a day we never thought would come, we take comfort in knowing she is now in the Lord’s hands, reunited with the loved ones who passed before her. Her family will continue to celebrate her life and honor her memory always.
Interment will be on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 12:00pm, at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590.
