Born on March 12, 1938, in Huntington, New York, Maria graduated from Oyster Bay High School.
Throughout her career, Maria served as an executive secretary for the highway department at the Town of Oyster Bay. Her dedication and commitment to her work were highly regarded by her colleagues and community.
Maria is predeceased by her father, Fred Maimone, her mother, Inez A. Maimone, her brother, Anthony Maimone (Mary), her partner, Ed Watson, Sr., and her nephew, Robert Maimone (Nancy). She is survived by her nephews, Michael Maimone (Lupe) and William Maimone (Leslie), and her niece, Karen Blackburn (Bill). Maria cherished her family deeply, and is survived by numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Maria had a profound love for dogs, which was her true passion. As a devoted dog walker, she cared for many dogs, loving them as if they were her own children.
Maria L. Maimone will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for her loving nature and the joy she brought to those around her.
Visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on October 26, 2025, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
Entombment will be at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11746, on October 27, 2025, at 11:00am.
