

He was born on March 19, 1936, in Flushing, New York, to his parents, James and Anna Camp.
Michael served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958, specializing in Amphibious reconnaissance. He later continued a life of duty in public service, working with the Nassau County Police 7th Precinct before moving into emergency services—roles that reflected steady commitment, quiet courage, and a deep respect for the responsibilities entrusted to him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Audrey Anne Camp; his two children, Michael (Mona) Camp and Ann Marie Audrey Kase; his grandchildren, Gabreille Kase, Jenna Kase, Madison Camp, and Mikayla Camp; and his two brothers, James (Louise) Camp and Donald Camp.
Visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on May 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 205 Jackson Ave, Syosset, NY 11791, on May 29, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:30 am.
Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933, on May 29, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
