She was the devoted wife of the late Michael J. Roche. Miriam's parents, Lawrence Pellegrino and Jean Falango, also predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Makarius (Thomas), and her son, Michael Roche. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Thomas Makarius Jr (Michele), Dawn Makarius, Amanda DiBernardo (Anthony), Jenna Roche, and Jessica Roche, as well as her great-grandchildren, Quinn Makarius, Savannah Makarius, Owen Makarius, and Aurora DiBernardo.
Miriam was a longtime resident of Syosset and enjoyed her life in Florida, residing in The Villages. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, located at 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on August 25, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 205 Jackson Ave, Syosset, NY 11791, on August 26, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. The committal will follow at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Miriam's memory will be cherished by her family and friends, and her contributions to her community will not be forgotten.
