Nezzera Ablan

Nezzera was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Michael and Amelia Ablan, her brothers, Michael (Rosemary) and Fred (Bernadette) Ablan, and her niece, Debra (Matt) Mueller. She is survived by her brother, Jerry (Thelma) Ablan, her nephews, Michael (Stacey), Matthew, Fred (Sue), Christian, Jerry and Danny (Maria) Ablan, and her nieces Roxanne (Jeff) Cashdan and Melissa (John) Smythe.

Born September 7, 1931, Nezzera grew up in Brooklyn, NY, surrounded by a large extended family, who formed the basis of her life long love for family. Though she never married, Nezzera devoted her life to her extended family and was the foundation that kept her family close throughout her life.

She worked for many years as an executive Secretary for Cord Contracting Company, and in her retirement she served her Church community. Nezzera enjoyed traveling, cooking and attending the theater in NYC. She never met a stranger, and her keen wit brought a smile to everyone who had the privilege to meet her. Nezzera was a graceful, fashionable lady, with sparkling hazel eyes and a beautiful smile. She left her family with countless memories that will make them smile and laugh for years to come.

A visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, located at 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on November 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Interment will take place at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, located at 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, on November 7, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
