Patricia Ann Renke

June 17, 1953February 2, 2020

Patricia Ann Renke, age 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020 while surrounded by her family. Patti was born in Brooklyn, New York to Oscar and Grace Puttick. She was introduced to the car business at an early age by her father, Oscar, who owned, among other dealerships, KORT Chevrolet in Floral Park, New York. Patti worked at the dealership for many years and only drove Corvettes until her father found out she was pregnant with her first child, was handed keys to her first (and only) station wagon, and she left to become a stay-at-home mom. A devoted mother, Patti was very active in her community and children’s school as a PTA President and long-time board member of a local youth sports league. Patti enjoyed shopping, crafting, politics, driving fast, watching her favorite tv shows (Friends, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy) and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Patti is survived by her two children: Kelly (Kerry) and Chris (Paula), and her two grandchildren from Chris and Paula, Christopher, Jr. and Natalie. She is predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Grace, and brothers, Kenny, Bobby and Teddy. In lieu of flowers, Patti’s family asks that contributions be made to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer. A wake will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791.

Although it’s been many years since I’ve spent time with Patti , I will always remember her heartfelt caring and the way our children were so close . She will always remain a wonderful part of my younger syosset years . She was a great cheer leader at all the kids games and got such joy out of her kids and mine as well . She had such an energy about her that I always enjoyed . She will be very missed

Our Patti was a force of love and loyalty that touched our lives , if you were lucky enough, and stayed there forever. She was my sister and friend. She fought battles for me and with me and there could not have been a more honest and strong person by my side. Funny... I don’t think we liked each other when we first met. We were political opposites for one and didn’t like any of the same movies or tv shows. But we were both curious and open enough to come to love each other and totally enjoy working on many projects together and shared each other’s company, families, and holidays together. So many memories, so many good times. So much love. I have been so blessed to have this strong, beautiful woman in my life.

I have wonderful memories of. Patty. I was lucky enough to have both her lovely children in my class, kelly and chris! I have vivid memories of Patty, especially her smile and her laugh! My absolute favorite memories were parent teacher conferences. All we did was laugh and tell funny stories! I am now wondering did we ever get to talk about her kids??? We had such a good time! Patty. Was always there ready to help if i needed anything in class! She was such a giving person! I am so saddened about her passing. Patty will be forever remembered and will be forever missed by me! Love,Addy
