Her life was defined by love, devotion, and an adventurous spirit. She was the heart of her family—loving, nurturing, and endlessly generous.
Patricia was born on September 6, 1938, in Far Rockaway, New York, to her parents Alfred and Sophie Capparelli. She completed her education and went on to have a fulfilling career as a ballroom dance teacher, sharing her passion and skills with many students over the years.
She found great joy in the kitchen, where her cooking brought family and friends together time and time again. Meals were never just meals; they were expressions of love, memories in the making, and traditions passed down with care. Alongside her husband, she also cherished traveling, embracing new places and experiences hand in hand, creating stories they would tell for years to come.
Her compassion extended far beyond people. Over her lifetime, she lovingly cared for dozens of cats, offering them warmth, safety, and unconditional love.
A passionate horsewoman, she owned numerous trotting horses and took immense pride in their achievements. Among them were the remarkable Windsong’s Legacy, who captured the Triple Crown in 2004, and House That Ruth Built, winner of the Kentucky Futurity that same year—accomplishments that reflected her dedication, perseverance, and deep respect for the sport.
Above all else, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their laughter filled her home, and her love shaped generations. She was a constant presence—supportive, gentle, and endlessly proud—leaving behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and family.
Patricia was a devoted wife, predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald Spinelli. She is survived by her brother Al Capparelli, sister Dorothy Prymas, sister Barbra Villani, and brother Robert Capparelli. She is also survived by her three children Marianne DiGiuseppi (Victor), Richard Spinelli, and Patricia Ann Romeo (Joseph), as well as her five grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Kristina, Kara, and Ronald, and her seven great grandchildren Michael, Luca, Lorenzo, Giancarlo, Vincenza, Camryn, and Claire.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, her passions, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory lives on in every shared meal, every cherished story, and every heart she touched.
