

Paul A. Bagin died unexpectedly, Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born in Astoria, NY, September 1, 1955. He was 55 years old. Paul graduated from Syosset High School and Berklee College of Music, in Boston. Pablo, as he liked to be called, became well known as a accomplished audio engineer, working with celebrities and Grammy award winning artists. He toured the world with these artists, making their music even more beautiful.He was a true artist. He is predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Harry Bagin and his sister, Mary Mazelie.He is survived by his brother Doug Bagin, and his wife, Nancy. He is uncle to Suzanne B.Bohlmann, and Drew Bagin; Monique, Shawn and Christopher Mazelie. Paul will be remembered mostly for his love of mentoring others in his industry, his gentleness and his particular patience with the elderly, as seen while he cared for his Dad, during the last years of his life, in Florida. "He will be sorely missed, as a wise man and a genius at sound production," according to his peers."A brilliant audio engineer, known around the world for his mixes of both live and studio recordings." Memorial visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, Syosset, NY, April 25 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A memorial service will be conducted at 8pm, by Rev. Janine Burns, a longtime friend of Paul's.
