DRESCHER, Ruth A. (nee Mockel)- of Plainview, NY on July 2, 2016. Beloved wife and widow of the late Charles H. Drescher, Deputy Chief of FDNY. Loving mother of Carol and Barbara. Cherished grandmother of 3; Devoted great grandmother of 6. Reposing at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Rd., Syosset, NY 11791. Visiting Tuesday, July 5, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Reverend Eric Olsen will officiate a Religious Service that evening within the funeral home at 8:00 PM. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, July 6, for a prayer at 10:00 AM within Beney Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Evergreens, 1629 Bushwick Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11207.
