Walter J. Kehoe

Born in New York City on September 7, 1942, to Walter and Marcella Kehoe, Walter was raised in Astoria, Queens. After graduating from Long Island City High School, he embarked on a proud, lifelong career as a skilled electrician with Local 3, where his dedication and hard work were constants throughout his life.

On September 30, 1967, Walter married the love of his life, Kay. Together, they built a beautiful life and a family grounded in deep devotion, laughter, and enduring love. Walter was reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Kay, as well as his parents and his sister, Eileen Rada (Richie).

His legacy lives on through his family. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Maureen Sweeney (Scott) and Kathy Phillips (Bob); his cherished grandchildren, Scotty, Sean, Jackson, Rose, Violet, Hudson, and Madison; his loving sister, Marcy Moriarty (Danny); and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on July 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 205 Jackson Ave, Syosset, NY 11791, on July 11, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:30 am.

Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, New York, NY 11379, on July 11, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
