Warren Church

Warren Church – a Syosset resident for more than 40 years, on February 13, 2025 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Joan Church and daughter, Lindsay Church. Born to James and Kathryn Church, Warren grew up in Astoria, NY with his sister, the late Joan Fetcho. He served four years with the United States Air Force Air Police before joining the Nassau County Police Department, retiring in 2000 after more than 30 wonderful years "on the job." In retirement, Warren was an active member of the community, beautifying his neighborhood's entrance islands and holding positions in the Syosset-Woodbury Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce; he was the Chamber's 2005 Community Service Person of the Year and 2011 Outstanding Civic Member. Warren was a proud member of American Legion Post 175 and served as Commander for four years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Warren's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A visitation for Warren will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, New York 11791. A prayer service will occur Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, New York 11791. An interment will occur Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY.
