

Attilio A. “Arthur” Marsella, 98, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday at James Square. Born in Harrisville, RI, he lived in the Syracuse area for 85 years. Arthur drove for Zeamon & Ziegler Produce at the Regional Market until 1940. He also worked for Joseph Cashier Sheet Metal Company for 19 years, was the Owner/Operator of Marsella Heating Co. before retiring from GE in 1984. Mr. Marsella was a member of the Moose Club and the Elks Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Marsella in 1977; his son, Richard P. Marsella in 2000; brothers, Silio “Sam”, Joseph, Emilio, and Daniel Marsella; sister, Anne Volcano.
Survivors include his son, James Marsella of RI; sisters, Toni (George) Franklyn of Syracuse and Jean (Dan Dantuono) Spindler of Camillus; daughter-in-law, Katherine Marsella; two grandchildren, David and Kristin Marsella; four great-grandchildren, Marsella, Paige, Hanna, and Matthew Marsella; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 8 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be followed in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
