

Dorean Duncan, 83, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Community Hospital with her loving family present. Dorean was born in Uniontown, Alabama and lived most of her life in Syracuse. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dorean was predeceased by her husband Edward Rudy Duncan.
She is survived by her daughter, Beryl(James) Jackson, and two sons, Edward Rudy Duncan Jr. (Joyce), and Joseph Calvin Duncan (Margo), five grandchildren: James “Stoney” and Derrick Jackson, Benjamin Duncan, Jennifer Duncan Olson and Jackie Cheney Duncan; six great-grandchildren: Mazzi, Isaiah, and Quintin Jackson, Calina and Sophia Olson, and Rudy David Duncan; brothers Perry Pugh of Chicago, Donald Pugh of California, James Pugh of Syracuse and Wilson Pugh of Cleveland; sisters Fanny Timmons and Mildred Smith of Cleveland.
The family expresses its deepest gratitude to the staff at Community Hospital for their help during this difficult time.

Funeral service is Saturday at 10 AM, Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 347 Cortland Ave, Syracuse.
Burial will be in Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Talladega, AL.
