

Emily A. Scholiadis Togias, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Oneida Health Care Center. A life resident of Syracuse she was a graduate of Syracuse University. Emily retired from Bryant & Stratton College as a Teacher for over 30 years where she was also a Chairperson of CCI. She was a communicant of St. Sophia’s Church and also was very active in teaching Sunday school and Greek. She is predeceased by her son, Billy Togias and sister, Artemis Boucounis.
Emily is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jerald) O’Sullivan of Camillus and Lori (Gary) Steiner of North Bay; two sons, Ray (Julie) Togias of Syracuse and Chris (Donna) Togias of Canastota; two sisters, Helen Pollastro of Syracuse and Kathy (Andy) O’Leary of Mattydale and 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 9:15 a.m. from PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Road, Syracuse.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. with the Trisagion Service at 4:30 p.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street.
