Fannie Gangemi

Fannie “Faye” J. Mellone Rinaldi Gangemi, 90, of Syracuse passed away Monday. She was a life resident of Syracuse, a communicant of St. Peter’s Church and retired from Lemoyne College. Faye was an excellent baker and was featured in the Syracuse Newspaper for her Christmas Cookies and Gingerbread Houses. She also loved to dance all of her life. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Rinaldi in 1968 and 10 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her daughters, Doreen K. (Keith) Lane and Deirdre A. Rinaldi Geer; grandchildren, Michelle M. Billings, Dante J. Rinaldi, Laura Hoffmann and Rebecca (Michael) Martiniello; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:15 a.m. at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei/St Peter Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
