

Lydia (Leoniwa) Sauer, 63, of East Syracuse, passed away early Monday morning following a very courageous, long, battle with Multiple Sclerosis Born in Germany, she resided in the Syracuse area for 60 years. Lydia was a longtime employee of Mutual of New York Insurance Company until her illness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel; devoted sons, Mitchell and Miles; her mother, Olga Cherepin of Texas; sisters, Elvera (Marcel) Bourgon of Texas,, Tina (Gerry) Klaislie of Chicago, and Helen (Kevin) Ritter of Boynton Beach, FL; in-laws, David and Darlienne Sauer, Karen and Bob Ward, Ellyn Sauer, Amy and Dave Cook, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 9:30 A.M. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Minoa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
