

Mary (Ruffolo) Bersani, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Syracuse, she moved to Italy with her family and returned after six years. In 1981, Mary retired from General Motors as an Accountant after 25 years of service. She was the former president of the Chromettes Women’s Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Americo J. Bersani; her parents, Michael Mariano and Amelia (Furgiuele) Ruffolo; and sister, Emma E. Ruffolo Discenza Byron.
Mary is survived by sons, Michael L. Bersani of Syracuse and David A. Bersani of Cicero; sister, Josephine (Raymond) Lovette of Liverpool; sister-in-law, Margaret Bersani; five grandchildren, Amelia C., Michael M., Christina M., Anthony L., and Matthew R. Bersani and two great-grandchildren, MiaBella May and Lillia Lynn; several nieces and nephews; her loving care provider, Tisha; and her beloved cat, “Sadie”.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 8:15 A.M. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9 A.M. at St. Daniel’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
