Survivors: mother, Essie Mae Jones (Scott) and the late Johnny Earl Scott; two children, Travon Scott and Essana Brown, all of Syracuse; brothers, Vernon Scott, Jay Scott, and Othena Redfield; sisters, Chelle Redfield and Monique Dexter; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
